Casella Waste Systems races to partnership with Brayton Laster and Wayne Peterson Motorsports for the NASCAR return to Lime Rock Park.

Casella Waste Systems, one of the more common names around New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions when it comes to waste management, will be stepping into the world of professional stock car racing by partnering with Wayne Peterson Motorsports and Brayton Laster as a primary sponsor for this weekend’s ARCA Menards Series race at Lime Rock Park, in Salisbury, Connecticut.

The ARCA Menards Series is one of the leading stock car series in the world, falling under the NASCAR banner, it is a crucial step for almost every driver you see competing in the Daytona 500 to make a start in the ARCA Menards Series. The cars are no stranger to speed though, with speeds pushing over 190 miles an hour, these 3,400-pound stock cars race side by side for over 200 miles just inches from disaster at all times. This will be the first trip ever to Lime Rock Park for the national division of the ARCA Menards Series and the first time a NASCAR series has raced there since 2010.

Casella Waste Systems will have its logo on the hood and the quarter panels of the #06 Wayne Peterson Motorsports machine driven by Laster this Saturday, June 28th, at 4:00 PM EST on Fox Sports 2. Casella Waste Systems provides solid waste management services, which include collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling. “We've been involved heavily in local motorsports in Connecticut with track sponsorship at Stafford Motor Speedway, as well as sponsoring cars there and at other tracks in state. To step up a level to the ARCA Menards Series and to do it at a local event is an amazing opportunity for us. We always want to help "the racer", the guys who want to compete but need some help, and this is the perfect opportunity for us to do that. We know how difficult and financially draining it is to compete in any level of motorsports, which is why when situations like this arise, it becomes a "win-win"”, Mark DiMauro Sr., Division Manager said. “We're always a proud community partner in the areas we service and are happy to extend our outreach to more race fans, so they know we are happy to handle their waste and recycling needs. This is also a perfect opportunity for race fans to recognize we don't just service Connecticut, we operate just outside of the state borders with locations in New York and Massachusetts. We're very excited for NASCAR and ARCA to return to Connecticut, but are even more excited to be a part of it.”

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is headquartered in Rutland, Vermont, with locations throughout New England in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, as well as locations in New York and the Mid-Atlantic.  Casella Waste Systems provides solid waste management services consisting of collection, transfer, disposal, and recycling services, as well as being community-oriented.  For further information, please visit the company’s website at Casella.com.
